Wolf Poetry

Welcome to Wolf Poetry

I started to publish my poetry as a way to raise awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other associated problems at a time when, I felt, there was little known about our feelings as Veterans. As a result of presentations carried out as part of my rolling exhibitions that were held in the East Midlands between 2013 and 2014, I believe there is still a lot of ignorance about PTSD, both in Civilians and Veterans. The Poetry of a Veteran trilogy are a mixture of eclectic poetry that examines a wide range of emotions, positive as well as painful, loving as well as humourous.

The books are available from all good book stores, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Waterstones & WH Smith.

I have some copies of the titles here too, so if you'd like a signed copy, please email me from the contact page.

Words of a Wolf - Poetry of a Veteran

This is the title that came first. It examines feelings of abandonment by the system, inappropriate care by the NHS in Nottingham and the effects of having to stay strong to avoid being labelled and stigmatised by colleagues, family and friends.

The Way of the Wolf - Poetry of a Veteran

The Way of the Wolf - Poetry of a Veteran (ISBN 9780956488527, Kindle ASIN B0084MQIR0)
The second volume explores racism in uniform in more depth as well as the transition from serving in the RAF Police to the Metropolitan Police in London. People working in the 'Met' may well find that the issues raised are still current. Institutional racism bites deep.

My Not-for-Profit project raises awareness of PTSD, promotes creativity as a coping mechanism for disability and educates disabled artists on their Intellectual Property rights. I also carry out awareness sessions for groups, communities and voluntary and statutory organisations on issues related to this

project. The workshops are free. You can find details about them on the 'Services' page.

The project is financed via selling books that I have written and my images on www.wolf-photography.com. By buying these books and prints, you're allowing me to continue my creative work as well as my awareness raising and ,hopefully, inputting into the shaping of mental health services in the UK.
